Linda & Lemon Lindy

My dream has always been to be a professional baker. I grew up baking every Sunday with my mom. Both of my parents were extremely busy when I was growing up. They were immigrants balancing a full-time business, family, and trying to fulfill a Canadian dream.

I didn’t get as much time as I would have liked with my mom growing up, but I remember Sundays were MY day, where it was just her and I. Sundays was the day she showed me the art of baking.

We made classic chocolate and vanilla cakes and cupcakes, but for special occasions the juicer came out to squeeze dozens of lemons for the lemon-flavored cake…this was my mom’s favorite.
